The Wedding, pt 3 - photo shoot at the temple

I really loved the outcome of our wedding pictures (hence why I'm posting so many, I just can't narrow it down any more, lol) - thanks so much to our wonderful photographer!

... and props to our florist too!  A local shop, I just told her that I've always wanted bright Texas yellow roses (not butter yellow or that awful sickly green-yellow, it had to be bright and sunny! :D ) , and she helped decide the rest of the wedding party's bouquets and boutineres, and they all turned out lovely.  It all came togetherbetter than I could've ever imagined.

The Wedding, pt 1 - At the temple

We were married in the Dallas Texas Temple on August 14 at 9 am.  The service was done by 9:30, and it was already blisteringly hot (why did we think August in Texas was a good time for a wedding? lol).

... after finally getting ready and prepped for pictures, we made our exit.

... and were met with a slew of our own personal paparazzi ... it was a bit overwhelming to be getting so much attention.

I just walked right out of the temple as soon as I saw Danny, not even thinking about the fact that I didn't have my bouquet yet.  After they saw me, everyone kept asking, "where's your bouquet? wasn't it inside?"

Eventually I got my flowers and my bridesmaids got theirs, and now the pictures could start.

... unfortunately, lots of people and lots of pictures means lots of waiting...

Grandpa held my train so it wouldn't get dirty.

Friday - Rehearsal Dinner

I know I keep referring to it as a "rehearsal dinner" despite the fact that we didn't have to rehearse anything (though in retrospect I think it would've been nice if we could have).  But, I knew I wanted to have a dinner the night before for all the family, something for the groom's family to throw and more casual and laid back.  So, I put Danny's sister in charge (also one of my bridesmaids) with these details: Friday evening, nothing fussy, somewhere in North Dallas area, and if I had to pick, I like Italian food.  With just that to go on, she found some nice options, and her top choice ended up just happening to be perhaps my favorite local restaurant in my hometown.  What a coincidence!  and it went off so nicely with good food and good service (though I do admit, I felt bad for the lone waitress that had to serve the entire crew).  And perhaps best of all, Danny's sister took some really great pictures of everyone there! truly a photo miracle for me and my un-photogenic family ... and so, of course, I wanted to post all of them! :)

My favorite restaurant, love the garlic rolls and pink lemonade and the manicotti is the best!
